Change – Bringing Dreams to Reality

This weekend saw a lot of change. And while change can send some running in the opposite direction, change doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Or at least change doesn’t always bring positivity, there are still two sides to everything.

Our neighbours to the south are wrapping up a very large and impactful election that can bring about a lot of change. No matter what side you’re on, it’s still important to understand that neither side is necessarily wrong, and everyone should now work together on a solution to bring forward positive change, and growth, and unity as country

This weekend we’ve seen our first woman elected vice president of the United States of America. And not just any woman, but a woman with a diverse ethnic background.

While her gender, or culture may not entirely define her – her hard work, grit, and determination have gotten her to where she is today.

These are important steps that need to be taken to ensure that our children growing up now, can see that they are capable of doing anything they set their hearts on.

Our little girls no matter who they are, where they are, where they come from, or who their family is – if they dream it, they can do it. In times like this, these are important life lessons to pass on.

This weekend the first man with down syndrome crossed the finish line and completed an Ironman triathlon – which is a tremendous feat for anybody let alone anyone that consistently may face other challenges in other areas of their life.

What he’s done is nothing short of commendable and an absolute dream. He is another person paving the way for others that may feel like they have no other choice but to settle. Yet he’s living proof that if you work for it, if you dream it, then you can absolutely do it.

You can obtain the unachievable or what was once thought as unachievable.

People of varying genders, classes of life, culture, ethnicity, people that are faced with different challenges, people that are different – they are thriving, they are succeeding, and they are proving to the world that you can step up and do it if you dream hard enough and put the work in.

In our own little world here, we have been fighting to make a name for ourselves and a place for ourselves in an ever evolving industry. And during a pandemic it’s been a gauntlet to say the least. But yet as a company that was so rooted and firmly in support of an industry that has been uprooted by the effects of the pandemic we are stepping up and making our own changes. We are dreaming our own dreams and starting a course that sees us continue into the future as a company, and as a family.

While our path may be different now than it was last year that doesn’t make it any less worth it or our team any less worthy of it but once again more proof that if you work hard and dream big you can do it
