Hindsight is 2020

First of all – a very Happy New Year to everyone.

New Years Eve is always a busy night for Sentinel, and while everyone is out celebrating, we’re right there with you. Ensuring that the celebrations are safe and nothing gets out of hand. Making sure that the evening festivities are as they are intended to be. Light, joyous, happy revelry.

While we may miss a lot of special occasions and celebrations with our own families, there is something to be said about getting to experience the joy with and through other people.

As always, with a year behind us and a new year upon us, most people will take this opportunity to reflect on the ghosts of past, present and future.

For us – Hindsight is 20/20. Having the knowledge of lessons learned in the past and being able to see with clear direction towards a brighter future.

As Sentinel continues to grow and evolve not even so much as when the years progress, but even as the months and weeks progress – we’re learning.

We’re learning what has worked in the past and what might work better in the future.

We’re learning how and where our services are best utilized.

We’re learning how our team works, and taking steps to ensure that everyone is always facing forward, moving in the same direction. If the team is happy, the company is happy and ultimately the client will be happy.

Finding a working balance of all the needs and wants of employees, management, and clients is that sweet spot everyone always aims to hit.

In 2020 our portfolio and client base continues to grow and expand.

Our employees are gaining more skills and experience to better suit the needs of those that require our services.

Operationally we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure the foundation for this year is more solid than ever.

As always, we’re laying the groundwork for our future.

Just because we’re not a ‘new’ company, doesn’t mean that the groundwork ceases to exist. As company’s expand, your foundation will need to grow with it. You may need to add the odd pillar to fortify the strength as you branch in different directions.

Growing without acknowledging that all aspects need to be solid to ensure the growth is sustained can be unrealistic.

So we are taking our 2020 vision and ensuring that everyone – every client, employee, guest or site has been part of the pathway that has lead us to where we are.

The good, the bad, all paves the way to where you ultimately end up. There is typically the odd dip in the road or a slight wavering, and thats ok. Its all part of the story, part of the bricks that make us who we are.

We’re looking forward to another year of success. Of experiencing the joy through the eyes and will of others. Of ensuring those that have other motives don’t impede on the joy of those experiencing happy occasions.

We’re looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new places.

We’re looking forward to learning and growing as individuals, as employees, as management, as pillars of the company.

We’re making big plans and putting them to action.

All of our hopes and dreams are becoming reality and we couldn’t be more excited to see what this year brings.

Happy 2020.
