Seeking Opportunities in Uncertain Times
Seeking Opportunities in Uncertain Times

Its no secret how the year 2020 has had us all turned around and living a life and lifestyle that we never thought would be necessary.

Especially be a company that has hustled and bustled in a thriving Event based industry – an industry rich with social interaction, people coming together, and enjoying all that the world has to offer.

We thrived on red carpets, fine dining, high end hotels, events, concerts, weddings, and anything else that would typically be spent with people gathering in large numbers and celebrating whatever happy occasion they happened to be together for.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching love bloom as couples walked down aisles, met together for first dates, or arrived in a foreign city ready to explore.

We happily worked along side all cultures, backgrounds, religion, and beliefs. We supported them as if they were our own.

Working in an industry that is heavily centred on people – humans – and relying on the often underestimated powers of customer service, we have learned, grown, improved and thrived through the years.

When Covid-19 came, everything came crashing down in one weekend.

The government was quick to announce packages to help individuals and companies – such as ourselves, that were and are hurt so deeply by the effects of this pandemic.

We could have easily sat back and accepted what could have been our fate.

Relied on others to help us get through, if even that was or is a possibility.

Instead, we did what we do best. We rose up.

We picked ourselves up off the ground. Brushed off our crisp black suits. We put ourselves out there.

With a management and ownership team that deeply believes in the root of our cause, and the purpose that Sentinel Security Plus has to offer, we knew that being an all of a sudden no longer needed part of an essential service, we had to do something.

We branched out, we partnered up. We found companies that needed assistance and in turn, found other companies that could help us.

Our numbers hit a deep drought and then we watched our staff return. Smiling, suited, and ready.

We no longer appeared at weddings and events, but took the opportunity to an unchartered territory for us.

Banks, grocery stores, the front lines.

We had many – MANY meetings. Prepping our management and office staff, and especially our front line staff.

We took the customer service and security expertise to the places that now needed it the most.

And in what could have been a dark time, we shone.

We made it a priority to still be essential.

Places that once never had security, were ordering more and more – and we knew it is what we needed to do.

Now, as we happily see the gradual return of life as we knew it, with a few changes, we’re still here.

We’re still fresh and better equipped than ever.

We’ve experience the highs and experienced the lows.

We have the knowledge and experience to help our customers that have had to shudder their doors for some time, and we know the steps to help bring them back and make them shine again.

For those that have no experience dealing with clientele in a Covid-19 environment, we’re ready and here to help.

We have the tools, training, resources, and experience with the front lines.

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade.

Never accept a fate that is handed to you if you’re not ready to back down.

Fight for what you want and what you believe in.

Moving with the ebb and flow of life is the secret ingredient of a Sentinel lemonade and if we had to do it all over again, we’re ready and you better believe we’re willing.
