Thankful for our Past – Excited for our Future

Another year has come and gone and just like anyone else – we’ve had our ups and downs.

The year started somewhat muted. The pandemic still had a lot of things quietened down and understated.

Numbers were capped, hours reduced… everything felt like the past year all over again.

However, as we came out of that, the world slowly started to open up.

Life was blossoming with a renewed hope.

We saw the return of life as we knew it.

Excitement wasn’t just on the horizon, we were once again a part of it.

And with the return of essentially the world as we once knew, we found ourselves back and busier than ever.

Our numbers grew.

Our teams got stronger.

Business was back and oh how we missed it.

The excitement of everything we’ve longed for over the past two years came back – and then some.

While they say patience is a virtue, we can definitely at least say that it paid off.

As the world and in particular Toronto – opened back up, everyone rushed out to greet life with open arms and happy anticipation.

The long dark months of being locked up had come to an end and nothing was stopping us from getting out there and enjoying life.

And thus continued the majority of 2022.

A return to the roaring twenties if you will.

The dawning of spring, bright days of summer, all leading to what once was, and has become again – a fall of reckoning.

The return of the Toronto International Film Festival was finally here.

Lights – Camera – Action. We didn’t just spend time on red carpets this year, we fully embraced and appreciated every fibre of their being for the time spent away.

It was like being rekindled with a long lost love.

While TIFF isn’t a be all and end all for everyone, it sure sparks a certain sparkle in the eyes of those that truly hold it close.

And with the hard work of a 2022 TIFF season behind us, we embrace everything that has come, and has yet to come, all the while preparing for the 2023 season.

Once the red carpet was rolled up, our next big accomplishment was The Arena.

An undertaking to assist those looking to enter the Police force and giving them the added boost of helping to get their foot in the door.

By building partnerships with local police, rebuilding the Prep test, and making the fundamental knowledge and experience required to become a Police Officer, more readily available.

Enter the Arena.

We’ve learned a lot this past year.

We’ve also grown a lot – both in numbers and in knowledge.

While some of our faces may have changed, if you dig deep enough – you’ll find that the heart has never changed.

The pillars – the foundation that holds the team together, that dream the biggest dreams and bring them to fruition – they are still the same.

The foundation has added some pieces, and lost a few – but is stronger than ever.

As with any company, things will always shift and change like the ebb and flow of a tide.

And for as much changing and flowing as we have had as a company – this foundation is about as rock solid as they get.

Tried and trusted, ensuring that the product remains consistent and top quality as you would have come to expect from a red carpet business.

In the early days of being a boutique Security firm, boutique really emphasized our numbers and the clients we had at the time.

These days and moving forward, we are still fully embracing the boutique term.

However there is less of a focus on numbers, and more of a focus on our clients, services we offer, and the level of service.

Being a boutique doesn’t have to imply small or minimal scale.

Being a boutique means that you know the product that you have is quality and in demand.

You have a market and you not only fully embrace it but more importantly you embody it.

As we step into 2023 we will continue our lofty goals of growth and discovery and more importantly, emphasize being a larger scale boutique offering.

Giving you that same personal and warm service that you would expect from your local business, while branching out to assist everyone that we can.

2023 is going to be a phenomenal year – we recommend joining us for the ride.
